Should we have a first look?
While it is a popular thing to do, a first look may not be the right fit for traditional clients who may not want to see one another before the ceremony. While no one ever regrets organizing a first look, many people do wish after the fact that they did organize a first look as that allows for more time to enjoy the reception since most of the pictures will be taken before the ceremony.
When should I send out my invitations?
It is helpful to send out wedding invitations at least 9 weeks before the big day. And remember to have your RSVP deadline 5 weeks before your wedding day!
Where should I focus my budget?
That depends on what's most important to you! If you want outstanding decor, hire a designer. If you want a stand out reception, hire a lively band and have an open bar. Think about what is most important to you on your big day and allocate your money towards it.
Do we need to invite plus ones?
You definitely do not have to, but if your venue and budget allow for it it's a nice gesture! Typically if your guest is engaged or has been with someone for many years, it's good to invite the significant other.
