While this is completely up to the couple, you always need to go through the pros and cons before making the decision. Not only can this be a costly venture, but it might not meet your expectations on the day of your nuptials. We’ve surveyed around 600 people to give you the best information possible on all things wedding. So, before you begin the hiring process, consider these factors so you can make sure you’re on the right path before you say I do.

16% of surveyed couples revealed they had a negative experience with their bakery, so it’s important that you make the right decision, so you don’t have any regrets in this area.

The Cost

Typically, a wedding cake is a focal point at your reception, so not only do you want this huge cake to look good, you want it to taste good too. But what’s the real cost of this masterpiece? According to our survey, 20% of couples spent between $500 and $1000 on a bakery for their wedding. While the services may have differed depending on their needs, the real star of the show other than the couple is the cake. However, you may want to have a separate dessert area designated for cookies, cupcakes, and more which is usually provided by the same bakery.

One Biters

Let’s be honest. We all know of someone who doesn’t really like desserts but always seems to want just one bite. So, before you spend the big bucks on a variety of desserts, consider how many guests you have and always consider those one-biters who will take just one bite of a cookie or cupcake before setting their plate down for good. Unless you know everyone will be leaning into their sweet tooth, it’s better to save your money and opt for dessert options that are more practical.
